Notes for Tuesday 30th October 2007

A very popular position arises after 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Nf6 4. Ng5

I like this position with Black as I feel that I can obtain a good position for the cost of a pawn. Play often continues:-

4. ...d5 5. exd5 Na5 6. Bb5+ c6 7. dxc6 bxc6

Now often White moves the bishop but sometimes he tried Qf3 to expose the pawn on the rook at a8.
